Hey, gang.
I’m nine days late with this month’s newsletter, and if I’m being honest, I wasn’t planning on writing one at all. There’s no terrible, dramatic reason why. It has just been a busy month with little to no news, so I planned on skipping it.
That was until I had some news, so here it goes:
As I’ve mentioned in previous newsletters, I’ve been writing YouTube scripts for the Retro-Daze channel, and the inaugural episode went live this past Saturday! I’m really proud of the work we’re doing on this, covering a range of nostalgic topics to be posted every Saturday, and I’d love it if you dropped in to watch:
"5 Forgotten Toys of the 1980s"
A three-man team is working on these. I write the episodes, Jon from GenXGrownup hosts them, and Anthony Grate (from Retro-Daze) produces and edits. Here’s a quick video I made for my channel to announce the Retro-Daze collaboration (and show off a few yard sale finds from the previous weeks).
Announcement and Yard Sale Finds
Watching my video, I’m sure you can see why I stepped back into a purely writing role.
Otherwise, I’ve been working hard on my new novel, which is up to 54,000 words now. It’s trucking along, and I’m pretty happy with my progress.
I hope you’ve all been enjoying your summer! See you next month.
